What you'll do?
- Perform Safety Engineering activities in scope of ISO26262 for Active Safety products (ADAS) in projects
- Being an integral member of an engineering team and apply the knowledge of ISO 26262 concepts to all phases of the product lifecycle
- Responsible for interfacing with Hardware, Software, V&V and Industrialization teams and supporting the safety activities in those disciplines
- Analysis and comprehension of external and internal stakeholder requirements
- Perform hazard analysis, define safety goals and identify assumptions of use when needed
- Support definition of the product’s functional safety concept if needed
- Support definition of the product’s technical safety concept, associated safety requirements and system architecture
- Provide feedback on system architecture effectiveness to mitigate faults and failures by performing qualitative safety analysis including FTA and participating in DFMEA
- Provide interface and support to HW engineering in performing FMEDA including the calculation of base failure rate of product using customer-supplied mission profile
- Conduct technical reviews with product teams to ensure ISO-26262 criteria are fulfilled throughout product development cycle
- Develop product safety manuals to guide product integration
- Support development of DVP&R with respect to safety and review safety related test cases
- Support safety audits and assessments
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on safety status including identification of safety anomalies and the need for escalation
- Uphold and adhere to the Veoneer Functional Safety process and provide recommendations for improvement
- Supporting new customer specific projects during the request for information or quotation phase
- Supporting System Integration in scope of Vehicle demonstrations or other onsite demands
What you'll bring
- Degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering, or appropriate experience in such a position
- 5-7 years of experience in a technical environment and/or technical product design
- Good knowledge in Automotive industry preferably in Active Safety systems or appropriate safety related industries
- Good knowledge in Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems and Electronics
- Experience with performing safety analysis including FTA, DFA, DFMEA and FMEDA
- In-depth knowledge of Functional Safety theory and experience with ISO 26262
- Good knowledge in Hard- and Software
- Experience in Automotive SPICE
- Team player who likes to work in project groups
- Technical leadership, problem solving, planning and organizational skills
- Good communication skills with an proactive approach
- Good knowledge in English & German, both verbal and written
